Harwich Inclusion and Diversity Bench. 

A public art piece made for the 2025 Harwich Art Festive organised by Harwich Education Partnership. 

The children from the 8 schools were heavily involved with the design, submitting in drawings which included imagery that represented the theme of inclusion and diversity. Some also took part in placing the colourful mosaic tiles bringing their design to life. 

The bench, with its sofa like form, hosts a permanent embedded figure which invites the public to sit and be comfortable to share their story. The design is surrounded with themes of connectivity and ensuring no one feels alone.
